ChatGPT led its answer to “best real estate agent in Houston” with Houston Properties Team, and named 9 firms in all. Across the city's 5 recorded real estate answers the engines named 35 different agents and firms.
Every tile counts the agents and firms named in that city's own recorded real estate answers, captured in July 2026, so the counts reflect how many answers we recorded there as well as how many names the engines gave. Compare each city with its own page, not with the next tile.
Ask the same question in two cities and the engines return two different shortlists, because an answer engine assembles its list out of whatever local evidence it has already read. Which sources it trusts, and which agents and firms those sources agree on, is decided market by market, so we measure each city on its own before changing anything.
The evidence itself is ordinary: the firms a city’s own publications write about, the directories and roundups that market keeps, the review profiles and agent listings that agree on who operates there. None of that travels between markets, which is why a firm that gets named constantly in one city can be invisible one state over, and why we run each city as its own measurement rather than assuming a national result carries.
